Getting Started

You’re just a few steps away from capturing beautiful content. This page will take you through everything you need to do before you first experience your Alice Camera.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

Make sure to watch the full tutorial video before your first use. Our latest User Manual and Safety Guide can be found here.

1. Unpack & Charge your Alice Camera

- Take your Alice Camera out of the box. We don’t provide a charging cable, so please use one that you use for other consumer electronics. This must be a USB-C cable.

- Plug a USB adapter into a power supply and plug the USB-C cable into your Alice Camera. If you plug it in successfully your Alice Camera will turn on and a blue LED should come on, then place down your Alice Camera and leave it to charge for one hour.

- Continue with the steps below while your Alice Camera charges.

2. Connecting the Alice Camera and App

- Install the Alice Camera app on your mobile device by visiting this link.

- Start the Alice Camera app on your mobile device. The Alice Camera app will guide you to set up the app according to your preferences and to connect (pair) the camera with your mobile device. The camera will connect via its private wireless network, the password is provided as a QR code in the original Alice Camera box.

- By default the Alice Camera goes to sleep mode after 5 mins of inactivity and powers off after 30 mins of inactivity. These settings can be updated inside the Alice Camera app.

- To turn on the Alice Camera, press the On/Off button once until the LED starts flashing, indicating that the camera is booting up. It takes about 5 seconds for the camera to start.

3. Attaching a smartphone

- To mechanically attach a smartphone to the Alice Camera, follow this procedure:

- Open both the bottom and top phone grips

- Insert your phone, horizontally with the screen facing you, in between the bottom and top phone grip, whilst pushing the top phone grip upwards to adjust its size to fit and clamp to your phone’s horizontal size.

- Note: To prevent damage to the mechanism, avoid extending the grip with extensive force or to its end position.

- As an alternative, place the Alice Camera close to your mobile device.
